bio

Grace Valaskovic was born and raised in her beloved Cambridge, Mass, where she developed a penchant for reading in the public school system. As a senior at Northwestern University, she studies Theatre and Creative Writing, with concentrations in fiction, playwriting, and musical theatre composition.

Grace pronounces her last name "vuh-lask-oh-vick," but the  motherland-accurate "vich" ending is fun too. And if you don't want to deal with all that, she has always responded to "Grace V."

awards

As a high schooler, Grace received full funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to produce her first play. In college Grace has received Northwestern's Mary Kinzie Prize in Creative Nonfiction for her essay "What Makes Up a Woman," as well as an Undergraduate Research Grant.
